Jamie Warren Thompson

Jamie Warren Thompson, age 62, of Hessel, Michigan, passed away peacefully Friday, March 20, 2026, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital surrounded by family.

He was born on June 16, 1963, to John and Molly Thompson from Hessel Michigan. Jamie was a man who truly appreciated the simple joys of life. He loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing or simply enjoying nature. Jamie was also gifted with his hands and took great pride in his work. As a self-employed handyman, Jamie built a reputation for being able to fix almost anything, always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

Jamie was preceded in death by his sister, Ivy Rose Short.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents, John and Molly Thompson; his brothers, Johnathan Thompson, Daniel (Kelly) Thompson, and Joel Thompson; his sisters, Kay Thompson, Jolene Thompson, and Melanie Haske; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him deeply and will cherish his memory. Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, hard work, and love for family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

The family will receive relatives and friends to gather and honor and remember Jamie's life from 11:00 a.m. until Mass at 12 noon, Saturday, April 10, 2026, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Hessel.  A luncheon will immediately follow Mass at the church.
