Evan Jacob Hill

Evan Hill, 33, of Lost Nation, Iowa, died late Tuesday evening, January 6, 2026, in his home.

Evan Jacob Hill was born January 14, 1992, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Craig Diercks and Sarah Hill. He grew up in Fulton, Illinois, and was a graduate of Fulton High School. He went on to study Electronics at Hamilton Technical College receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering. Evan found great joy in designing and inventing. He was employed by ALM Positioners, Rock Island, Illinois, Family Dollar, Maquoketa, Iowa, and Simmons Pet Foods in Dubuque, Iowa. 

He enjoyed electronics, anything car related, skateboarding and gaming.

His family includes his dad, Craig Diercks of Low Moor, Iowa, his mom and step-dad, Sarah and David Huizenga of Fulton; his brothers and a sister, Cole Diercks of Low Moor, Dawson Huizenga, Sadie Huizenga and Gavin Huizenga all of Fulton; grandparents, David and Patricia Diercks of Low Moor and Wayne Hill of Clinton; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Evan in death was his grandma, Sandra Hill.
