Duane Joseph Sullivan, 64, of Delmar, Iowa, died Monday morning, May 26, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis, Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.

He was born December 6, 1960, in Bellevue, Iowa, to Lester and Joan (Ross) Sullivan and was a 1979 graduate of Preston High School. Duane married Annette Kueter, January 8, 2000, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Welton. They couple resided at rural Welton where they raised their family. Duane worked as a mechanic for Midwest Super Cub, Brazeway and Car Freshener of DeWitt from which he retired.

Duane loved family time, riding the side by side and camping. He competed in garden tractor pulling since 1979 and enjoyed playing softball and shooting pool. Duane was a member of Welton Volunteer Fire Department and Mississippi Valley Garden Tractor Club.

Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Annette; children, Ben Kueter of Welton, Haley Hickson and her husband, Taylor and children, Tara and Tucker of Otter Creek, Iowa, and Leslie Sullivan of Delmar; his mother, Joan Sullivan of Maquoketa, Iowa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Virgil Schroeder of DeWitt, Iowa, Joyce and Gary Culver of Park View, Iowa, Deb and Todd Simmons of Spragueville, Iowa, and Fay and Bob Link of Dallas Center, Iowa; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold “Junior” and Mitzie Kueter of DeWitt, Ruth Ann and Duane Tietjen and Rita Reuss of Bellevue, Nita and Mike Kaiser of Davenport, Lorin Kueter of Guettenberg, Iowa, Donna and Len Timmerman of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, Doug and Roxy Kueter of Charlotte, Joyce and Dennis Kloft of Bettendorf, Rhonda and Scott Kasey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mary Kay and Glen Hobart and Sharon and Tim Bayer of Davenport, Alan and Monica Kueter of Texas, Tina and Ridge Willard of Nevada, Jean Ann and Angie Kueter-Almos of Davenport and Lisa Kueter of DeWitt; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Duane in death were his father, Lester; his brother, Gary and a sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bob Miller, Jim Reuss and Jim Kueter.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for family and friends will be held 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Buzzy's, 414 Main Street, Welton.
